Prague has a statute city goverment, governed by a city manager and five council members who are selected by ward location in open election.
Utility services provide the largest percentage of revenue, so maintenance of these services is a high priority. The Public Works Authority is responsible for the electric, water (from 11 active wells), sewer, sanitation, street, park, lake, pool and cemetery. Approximately 20 full-time and 10 part time employees maintain these operations from their headquarters located at Fifth and Brunson streets.
