Box 111 Prague, OK 74864 405 567-2616 info@pragueok.org Prague Chamber Our Office The Prague Chamber of Commerce, organized in 1927, has been very active over the years in developing a spirit of civic pride and cooperation among the citizens of Prague. Board meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month in the Chamber office where general business is conducted. A Chamber membership meeting is held the third Thursday of the month, and this meeting is open to the public. The meeting place is at Ken’s Pizza in Prague at 12:00 noon. Lunch is enjoyed by those attending, and the agenda features an informative speaker at each meeting. The Chamber sponsors numerous annual events including an Easter egg hunt, 4th of July celebration, city wide garage sale and Christmas in the Park. The main fundraising activity, in addition to membership dues, is an annual auction held in the fall where donated items are auctioned. This event is always an enjoyable evening, and everyone is invited to attend. The annual banquet is held each year in January and features a noted speaker. Also recognized at the annual banquet are recipients of awards for the Farm and Ranch Family, Prague in Prague and Lifetime Achievement. The Chamber has been instrumental in promoting “Pride in Prague” awareness. Citizens are recognized in several ways for their contributions toward making Prague a community that all citizens can be proud of. Seniors at the Prague High School are recognized monthly for their accomplishments, and a scholarship is presented to the outstanding senior. The Business Focus award is presented to local businesses who meet criteria demonstrating outstanding performance. Recognition for Yard of the Month is presented to Prague citizens during summer months for those who maintain beautiful yards. Over the years the Chamber has been involved in numerous projects and activities that promote municipal and civic improvements.
